Easter Hope on Monday (#OneMinuteMondays)

Just yesterday we celebrated the meaning of Easter and the hope the resurrection provides to each of us. The eternal significance of the tomb already leaves us in a state of awe. However, it gets better. Hard to imagine I know, but God delivers through the resurrection of Christ in a way that overwhelms us. The power of the resurrection gives us the power to live today as well. Easter Hope on Monday.

YOU HAVE RESURRECTION POWER TO LIVE

The Apostle Paul makes it clear that the resurrection power includes not just eternal power but power for daily living as well. He prayed that we would learn about it. Paul asked God to give all of us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, your eyes spiritually opened, that you may know:

…what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. (Eph 1:19-20)

Get this. The power that brought Jesus out of the grave works in you. The Holy Spirit empowers you today with the exact same power that brought Jesus ought of the grave. Resurrection Power. Fellow follower of Jesus Christ, this. is. incredible. Power for eternity. Power for today. God provided the resurrection power to you for both.

Easter Hope on Monday

The Monday after Easter brings with it many various trials, pressures, and its own suffering. A friend of mine started Spring Break as a family – doesn’t that sound great? – but most of us must face the various waves of pressure today. We left our Easter / Resurrection celebrations yesterday; however, life still remains. Pressure exists. But in this pressure, we can have hope. Easter hope remains because Jesus Christ lives. On this Monday, more than ever, we can seek to live for the honor and glory of the Lord with hope. Two things ring true today: Jesus lives and we are one day closer to His return.
