Relevant Breakout Sessions
Breakout Session 1 (choose one):
Parents – Brandon York: Helping young adults understand how to practically apply biblical truths in understanding, developing, and repairing relationship with parents and guardians. Cultivating these relationships honors the Lord and provides wisdom for the future in adulthood.
Purity in Relationships – Kevin Carson: In this session, Pastor Kevin helps clarify what the Bible teaches about purity, the dangers of purity culture, and a way forward on guy/girl boundaries. He will set the entire discussion in the context of your union in Christ and the implications of loving one another in Christ.
Cultivating Contentment in Relationships – Taletha Lee (Girls Only): Do you ever feel unfulfilled in your relationships? Do you watch other people’s relationships with parents or friends and wish your relationships looked the same? Why are relationships so hard and can we really become content in our relationships? God, through His Word, has much to say about our relationships. During this session, we will answer these questions by considering what God says and together discover how to truly cultivate contentment in relationships.
Gifts and Relationships – David Egesdal: Birthdays, Christmas, Valentines, Weddings, Home warming, Graduation. There are many occasions for giving gifts but what about the everyday gifts that become all too familiar? In this session, you will learn about God’s blessings in gifts, how to properly receive His gifts, and how to use those gifts in relationships with others with a grand end goal for all of it.
Breakout Session 2 (choose one):
Authority: A Calling to be Last – David Hyde: We line up for all kinds of things these days. It may be an opportunity to buy the newest version of Call of Duty, Apex, Rec Room or the newest version of Madden NFL. We stand in line to buy tickets to our favorite concert or restaurants or sporting events. We often find ourselves in line. Where is the line to be last or the line to serve others? Come and experience the joy of “being last.”
Social Media – Daniel Kirkhart: Biblical wisdom and practical guidance in the age of social media. This session will help you understand items to consider when interacting and producing online content. What we post, say, or make all impact our testimony and thus our relationships online and in person.
How to Fight Right: Guidelines for Conflict Resolution – Bill Piatt: This session provides practical guidelines for interpersonal conflict resolution from a biblical perspective.
Building Godly Friendships – Jill Wiese (Girls Only): Using Scripture to identify what a godly friend looks like. The wisdom in surrounding ourselves with godly friends. How to be a good friend to others and of course using Christ as our example.
