Giving Tuesday
For many of us the past few days have been rather busy. Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Small Business/Local Business Saturday. Church on Sunday. Cyber Monday. And, today, Giving Tuesday.
Why have a day where the focus turns to giving to other good and notable organizations? This day becomes a great reminder that there are many others around us who could use help as they seek to help others.
Aren’t you grateful for all those around us who serve in so many selfless ways? Great churches, schools, nonprofits, and other community organizations who focus on the needs and concerns of those around us – there are so many people serving others. In many instances, these are neighbors helping neighbors. When all of us do a little – as simply as giving – it allows for all of us to accomplish much more.
On this Giving Tuesday, please allow me to suggest a few of the places where I like to give. This may kickstart your own thoughts to remember a place for you to donate this year. On the other hand, you may want to consider one or more of these fine organizations to share a gift of love and appreciation.
We provide a small gift to one of these organizations which, in turn, reaches out to help others as well.
Even if you can’t give financially to any of these worthy places, please take a moment to scroll through their webpages and pray for them.
