Our hearts hurt for the families affected by the duck boat accident Thursday, July 19th, on Table Rock Lake. Having grown up on and around the water, I recognize how easily a fun evening can turn into a tragedy. More than once, nights have been potential tragedies for our family out on the water. Having been out there just hours before the accident, my son and other friends were out in that same area. When the winds change and weather passes through, it quickly becomes rough.
Pray as a Community
Please pray for these families and this company. It is hard to fathom the heartbreak and loss they have experienced. In just a few moments all of life changes.
We need to pray for them to receive comfort. As they read their Bibles and pray, pray alongside them to trust God in this significant circumstance. Pray for all those involved that witnessed it that they too will trust God.
Also pray for those who searched for bodies as they respond to what they found.
Rejoice in what we know
Today as I have read the reports and watched the video, I’m reminded of the promise of heaven (John 14:1-6). Death is never a real enemy for the believers. Instead, it is the pathway to usher a person to heaven.
Don’t forget to hug & kiss those you love
Life is so short. Take time today to tell and show the people around you how much you care for them. See today and those you love as gifts God’s given us.
