The world God created is beautiful. Everywhere you look, there is beauty. God painted a masterpiece of various colors. Each tree working together in orchestration with all the others doing exactly what God created them to do – bring Him glory.

My thirteen-year-old son sagely remarked yesterday, “If God had really wanted to punish us after Adam’s sin in the Garden, He would have taken away Fall.”

While you look around at the trees and the beauty of the Fall, don’t forget the Creator.

God deserves the glory.

Consider these words from the throne room of Heaven:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

As we look all around at the beauty of God’s creation, we must not forget the Creator. God could have chosen to put us anywhere, on anything, and made everything the same. But He did not. He chose then and chooses today to allow us to experience a gorgeous planet full of variety and wonder.

How can you remember the Creator?

Be specific. Be intentional. Worship God in the beauty of the world He created around you.

  • Take a few moments to walk outside today and pray.
  • Look at the various vegetation wherever you are, and thank God for making everything different.
  • Pick up a leaf or rock or blade of grass to see God’s work up close.
  • Look into the sky and consider the vastness of God’s universe.
  • With your children, remind them of God. (“Look at what God has done. Isn’t this gorgeous?”)
  • In conversations at work when people mention the beauty of the season, point them to God. (“Isn’t it incredible God’s kindness to us to make a world so beautiful?”)
  • Thank God for loving you enough to provide the beauty all around you.
