As 2025 closes, thank you for another great year of ministry together. What a great blessing to walk alongside you on this blog. As another year ends, I am thankful to have shared this space with you over the previous twelve months. We can say again in 2025, outside of 2020 when everyone stayed home because of COVID, this has been the best year ever on the blog site. Readership was up again this year from last year. I’ve been so blessed to hear from so many of you through personal conversations, Ask Pastor Kevin notes, and through social media. Your comments and words of encouragement mean so much. The hours it takes to write are dedicated to the glory of God but certainly feel so rewarding after hearing from you. Just this week, a young man contacted me and explained how what he read here had a direct and meaningful impact on his marriage. What a great blessing!
This year, part of the readership increase reflects breaking into Asia with the blog. Although I can’t give many of the details, this blog is now being regularly read and shared by English speakers in key Asian countries – some of which do not have the gospel of Jesus Christ. This represents an incredible opportunity as some people may be introduced to Christ and other provided the means for their growth in Christ. Praise the Lord.
Possibly you have noticed that I have actually written a bit less this year than in previous years. Some of my morning priorities have changed this past year purposefully to make sure I am fulfilling some personal goals. Because of that, some of my writing time has been impacted. Therefore, I have had to slow down a bit on the number of blogs, while also fulfilling some other key goals. Yet, the total number of readers and engagement with people on the internet are still both up. For this, I am so grateful. I believe I have gotten back to a place of balance on the other personal goals and writing. I hope to write more in 2026 as a result.
In addition, 2025 brought a change in ministry seasons. Because of strategic changes at Mission University, I was one of several full-time ministry faculty moved to adjunct status. This change came as a surprise to all of us; however, it did not come as a surprise to God. The same month they announced to me and the other faculty the strategic changes to programs and faculty load, the Biblical Counseling Coalition approached me to consider becoming the next Executive Director. Over many months, we agreed to help the BCC in this new season of ministry. Alongside being blessed to pastor Sonrise in Ozark, I am happy to begin this additional ministry in 2026.
Regarding this personal blogging ministry, as has been true since its inception, I strive to share wisdom for life in Christ together. Some posts I write simply because I have been captured by a thought from the Bible text or a principle therein, some because I’m intrigued by something in the community, some I share as guests posts because of the quality of what they have written, and others are just personal. However, in each post, my prayer is that it blesses you, provides you something worth thinking about, and helps us all make life in Christ with those around us just a bit more pleasant.
I ask you to please partner with me in prayer. Please pray that God will continue to use what He is doing in my mind, heart, and life to produce quality writing that blessing you and your life as well. I am thankful for so many of you who have agreed to pray for me in the past.
Until three years ago, I had never provided any means for others to help shoulder the cost of this blog. Instead, my family had been the sole sponsor of the blog. However, the costs for a blog build over time as internet security, delivery systems, storage space, and many other costs grow. The cost of providing a website changes and grows over time like everything else. When talking to a fellow blogger, he suggested I allow those who desire to share the cost of this writing ministry as a patron on Patreon.
Patreon provides an opportunity for you to help support this ministry as sponsors. In addition, your support provides further ministry and podcast options moving forward. There are multiple levels of support as you will see below. Although I have listed benefits for each one according to Patreon’s suggestions, these basically demonstrate my gratitude for your help. At the end of the day, regardless of support level, this provides you an opportunity to help further this work of love for people just like you as we strive to share wisdom for life in Christ together.
Over the past year, a handful of you have faithfully supported the blog and website. My sincerest thank you! Any good that the thousands of readers receive is partially to your credit. Only God knows the extent of the reach of this site; however, I know and appreciate all those who faithfully give.
For those who have asked about a one-time gift and those who desire to give a one-time gift, Patreon does not provide a way to do that. However, you can give through Venmo (@Dr-Kevin-Carson) or Paypal (link). You can always mail a gift as well (Dr. Kevin Carson, 221 Garner Dr, Ozark, MO 65721 or through Sonrise Baptist at PO Box 903, Ozark, MO 65721).
If you can support this ministry financially, thank you. If you cannot, then please just keep reading and praying. Patreon provides a way for some to support if you desire to do that; there are certainly no expectations. Whoever shares the load with us, we are grateful. Our goal is to simply make it more affordable to continue this ministry. We realize that some will want to help who have been blessed by this writing ministry. For all others, we are just happy to have you read, share, respond, and provide feedback as you can.

Thank You for Your Help and Prayer
If you can help bear the burden of this ministry, thank you.
If you cannot, believe me, I understand! Each of us, no doubt, support our local churches, missions, and ministries of various kinds. You may not have the space in your giving budget or the passion to add this ministry to it. Again, I understand.
Please, all of you pray that God provides me wisdom along the path as I write, opportunities for this blog to get into places where just the right person who needs to read it gets to see it, and additional spiritual fruit. Plus, pray for the new countries being reached by the blog every day – often while we sleep locally the gospel is being shared around the world. I am so blessed by the feedback I receive regularly how something written has been just the right word at the right time to help another person change, be encouraged, or persevere for the glory of God.
