Today marked another milestone for this blog. This blog surpassed one million views. Who would have ever guessed that several years ago?
This year several aspects have combined to provide the biggest year ever on the blog. In fact, there are many hours where the viewership in that hour matches the views of entire months in blog years two and three.
By the Numbers
This calendar year we have surpassed all other year-to-date numbers (several months ago). This year there have been 214 posts so far with just over 200k words. This year we have been averaging over 30k views per month, with some months over 60k. For this, we are so incredibly grateful.
So What? Why is this important? What do these numbers mean?
Essentially they mean we – you readers and me – continue to share wisdom for life in Christ together. I’m grateful God has given me the ability, opportunity, and desire. As a pastor, professor, guest speaker, author, dad, and husband, I take every word on here very serious. It takes time and personal sacrifice to write. I do it though because I want someone coming beside those I love giving them encouragement, biblical advice, and practical wisdom.
This article is an edited version of the one when the blog hit half-a-million views just last year. As I said then, here’s the secret though…often what I write about helps me too. As I write to serve you, God uses the words in my heart as well. What a privilege to seek to serve you and others while at the same time influencing my own heart toward God and godliness. I too want to walk in wisdom through Christ. I need this as much as anybody else.
Today we celebrate and look forward.
