Speak and Do as a Steward of God

At the beginning of each day and week, we are faced with a new set of opportunities, pressures, and impending decisions. For each of us, each week holds more or less of these opportunities, pressures, and decisions. Possibly, what is in front of you this week seems overwhelming. I know, at times, it can seem that way.

What do we do then? We stop and thank the Lord for His grace to each of us in suffering. Not only does the body of Christ help us, but also HIs grace simply helps us along the way.

As it relates to the opportunities, pressures, and impending decisions that are before us, let me remind you of God’s plan. He desires us to face those daily issues in the midst of our own suffering and as we engage others in the body of Christ who also suffer in a simple way.

What way? Do the next right thing. He gives us grace to do the next right thing. We do not have to sin in our own suffering or as we seek to help others in the same.

Check out this passage:

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the [c]oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the [d]dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:10-11)

As Stewards of God’s Grace, Honor God

God gifts us at salvation. He enables us to serve Him in each moment after that by His grace. As stewards of that grace, we want to say what is right and do what is right. Speak with sobriety as an ambassador of Jesus Christ, knowing that your words should be as if Jesus had spoken them. Further, serve with the energy that God provides you. If you have any energy at all (which you do unless you are on your death bed), that energy was given to you by God. Therefore, serve others with the energy He provides.

As a great next step, say and do what is right which honors God through Jesus Christ.
